Case Studies and News
As the banner was to be in situ during the 2008 Capital of Culture year and the airport's 75 year birthday celebrations, it was expected that record numbers of visitors would see the completed installation. Clearly Health and Safety was of paramount importance as was ensuring an item which would look impressive for a lengthy period, but would be removed without any damage to the JLA building.
To achieve the tight deadline we produced the banner on our Mimaki JV33 printers with our large format team working late into the night. We used Outdoor Self Adhesive Vinyl and produced the 187m banner in 70 sections for installation purposes. Our installations team then overcame the challenge of installing this prestigious job ensuring maximum safety despite Met Office severe weather warnings with gales over 40mph.
The project was achieved successfully on brief and budget.
